Abstract

Urinary catheterisation is a method sometimes used by doctors (in abnormal cases) to remove the largest amount of urine, such as during childbirth operations, especially when the back needle is taken, or in the case of a congenital defect in the structure of the urinary system or in the case of tumours or bladder dysfunction, and involves inserting a tube inside the urinary system, sometimes certain bacteria are present on the parts of the catheter, which causes urinary tract infections. Sometimes certain bacteria are present on the parts of the catheter, which makes them cause urinary tract infections, and one of these bacteria is E. coli, which is considered a normal flora in the intestine, but it maybe pathogenic if it is present elsewhere and is one of the most common bacteria causing urinary tract infections, and is a mobile, gram negative, lactose fermenting, methyl red and indole positive bacterium.
