Artistic Interpretation Of Jadid Images (Using Uzbek And Karakalpak Stories As Examples)
Keywords:
modern uzbek and karakalpak novels, interpretation of images, Jadid imagesAbstract
The article examines the issue of the artistic interpretation of figures from the early 20th-century Jadid movement in modern Uzbek and Karakalpak prose. As research material, N.Kobul's historical essay "The heart, destiny, and value of Qodiriy," as well as A.Yuldoshev's "Jadid" and K.Karimov's "Qozi Mavlik and Seyfulgabit" ("The tale of the Jadid") were analyzed. The works define the principles for creating the images of historical figures such as Abdulla Qodiriy, Ubaydulla Khojaev, Munavvar Qori, Kozi Mavlik, and Seyfulgabit Mazhitov, who were active participants in the Jadid movement. The relationship between historical source and artistic imagination, the typification and individualization of the image, and the artistic reflection of the national-enlightenment and social views of the characters are studied using the comparative-typological method.
